| DESCRIPTION:
Roxie is a 12 year old Chocolate Labrador, but she has aged gracefully for her age. She was left on dry ground in Chalmette. Her family along with Roxie's brother (litter mate)Hershey, was stuck for three days in their attic and was finally evacuated… but their Grandma was in immediate need of care, so Roxie's owner had to take his Mom to the hospital. A friend said he would take the dogs to safer dry ground. Hershey was taken to Lamar-Dixon, and later to LSU and now has been reunited with his family. No one knows where Roxie is. We don't even know if she made it to Lamar-Dixon!! She has some gray on her face. She had no microchip at the time. She did have a choker chain collar on with a Rabies and an ID tag. The rabies tag was from Paris Rd Animal Clinic. The ID tag had the owners address 3312 Corinne Ave on it. Since leather or cloth would give her a rash, any leather or cloth collar placed on her by rescue people would probably be off by now. She still has her dewclaws on her front paws and she has been spayed. She has had 1 litter of pups in the past. She has long black nails, with a little bit of white in between toes on her paws, the only distinctive mark was a little growth at the base of her nose where the hairline starts, it looks like a tick, which could have come off. She is a slow walker and if she lies down for too long, it might be hard for her to get up. She was rescued either on 9/16 or 9/22 and she was sent to Lamar Dixon (we think). PLEASE!!! Contact either Susan 443-921-0516 or Connie the owner at 504-650-2230 if you have any information! |
